




This study of bald eagles was photographed (and subsequently pictorialized) along the shoreline of Lake Huron at Baie Du Doré.







With its unmistakable throaty song, the red-winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) is both a familiar sight and sound near marshes, wetlands and, hayfields.



The iconic lighthouse at Lion’s Head (Ontario) is pictured here on a beautiful summer day. Just a couple of years after this image was captured, the lighthouse was destroyed by a fierce winter storm.


Restored Canadian National Railways caboose #78581 on display outside the former CN station in Owen Sound. The car was originally built in the early 1940s in Chicago for the Grand Trunk Western Railway.


With its bold white stripes and a flaming-red crest, this Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) was an unexpected surprise at the back yard feeder.
